Every session is tailored to suit the individual needs of your class. With a student-centred approach sessions consist of exercises that are age appropriate and designed to develop and increase:
As well as the physical benefits to the sessions there is a strong emphasis of enjoyment and rewarding effort which improves students' resilience and self-confidence.
When working on their group dance students improve their spatial awareness, alongside working as a team which enables them to connect as a community and develop a sense of belonging and purpose.
Sessions format
Part A
Warm up and limbering exercises
Coordination exercise
Rhythm and musicality exercise
Part B
Each class will work over the weeks to produce a choreographed group dance ( this can sometimes be linked to their topic) Which can be presented at the end of half term.
Packages consist of 1 hour per week over approximately 6 weeks .
